Lean, Energy, and Environmental Assessment

Lean, Energy, and Environmental Assessments provide a one and/or two-day review of a company's position with respect to energy use, environmental wastes including a carbon footprint assessment, and a 16 criteria lean evaluation.

Lean, Energy, and Environmental Implementation

Lean, Energy, and Environmental Implementation assists a company to reduce wastes and save costs by implementing a specific waste reduction project (i.e., changing lighting, reducing floor space, eliminating forklift traffic, recycling solid wastes, reducing/eliminating air leaks, reducing water usage, changing motors, etc.).

Green Workforce Training and Education

Green Workforce Training and Education offers courses in the area of Sustainability and includes Practical Energy and Carbon Footprint Assessment; Lean and Green Value Stream Mapping and "Learning to See"; ISO14001 Executive Overview; Purdue Green Generalist; Purdue Green Specialist (1, 3 or 6 modules including: Water Supply and Waste Water Management, Air Emissions and Climate Impact, Materials Use and Solid Waste Management, Managing Chemical Use and Hazardous Waste Management, Efficient Energy Use and Sustainability in Practice; Water Conservation; Waste Reduction; Energy Star's Energy Tracking Tool and Portfolio Manager; and Environmental Factors (Air Quality, Noise, etc.).

Entrepreneurial Growth Services and Innovations Engineering

Entrepreneurial Growth Services and Innovations Engineering assist companies to grow their business through identifying new innovative "green" processes, products, and/or markets.

Fiscal Assessment, Counseling and Funding Assistance

Fiscal Assessment, Counseling, and Funding Assistance are offered to eligible clients through SBA, SBDC, Alabama Saves, and USDA Rural Development.

Who is Eligible for the Alabama E3 Program?

To be eligible for E3 services, a client must be an Alabama manufacturer with 500 or less employees.

What are the Costs Involved?

Currently, a client is required to pay one-third of the cost of E3 services. As a result of grant support, a client's cost to participate in the entire suite of E3 services equals $7,500.
